The Aileoita 02 is a formidable 80' x 16' Indonesian Hardwood boat built in Padang, Sumatra in 2006. It is one the of newest charter vessel serving the Mentawai Islands and North Sumatra and it has been custom built specifically for surf charters from the water up. The Aileoita 02 is outfitted with all the amenities of home including full air conditioning, tv, vcr, vcd, stereo, fridge, freezer, radar, depth sounder, gps,VHF/HF radio, 220V generator, life jackets, flares, EPIRB, first aid kit, tender and outboard, and a spacious living room. It has 2 heads, each with a shower, and mirror, and a shower on the back deck as well.

The Aileoita 02 has all safety, and navigational instruments, including: EPIRB, Furuno Radar, Furuno GPS, Compass, VHF Radio, HF/SSB radio, Satelite telephone, all neccessary charts for the region, Life Jackets, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blanket, First Aid kit.

It has a big 29" tv, with dvd, cd, vcd, mp3 player, a big amplifier, and large BMB concert sized speaker system in the salon, as well as out door speakers on the upper deck. Trolling equipment....

The beds are all very large, and comfortable. There are 10 beds all together, in a total of 5 cabins, and all of them are much larger than the average bed on a charter boat, and well suited for big guys, or couples. 8 of the beds are large enough to accommodate couples very comfortably. All the guests on Aileoita 02 always say they are the most comfortable and largest beds they have ever experienced on any boat.

The salon area is very comfortable as well. There are 2 tables to eat at in the salon, which easily fit 10-12 guests comfortably. There are also wrap around benches on the back deck, and 2 tables to eat out back there. The upper deck has long wrap around benches, to hang out while you watch the surf. There are board bag racks, and single board racks up on the top deck, and there are also single board racks on the front deck. The boat handles large, rough seas VERY WELL. It is super strong, and stable, the Aileoita 02 is definitely a notch above most boats, besides Aileoita, in comfort, safety, stability, and crew experience.

The boat is powered by 2 X 185 hp inboard deisel engines, and has 2 X 30 KVA 220 volt gensets w/ AVR's, and hydraulic steering.

It operates a 17 foot aluminum tender with 25 hp engine, which runs you back, and forth to the surf, to the beach to see the scenes, and meet the friendly locals, and to take you trolling.

It cruises at 9 knots most of the time, but is capable of 10-12 knots if need be. Most of our travelling is done at night, or in the darkness of the early morning, so it is safer to go a bit slower to avoid high speed collisions with logs, and other debris in the dark.

One huge asset is the 17ft. tender. This comes into its own when the party on board has split experience/ability - half the party can moor up and surf lovely whackable walls, while the rest can head round the corner and surf shallow, grinding pits.
